Answer

There are many different citation management tools that you can use either to help you create citations in various citation formats or to save and organize your citations as you do research. Many of the available options are free and available online or as browser extensions.

On the library website's Citing Resources page, there are a number of different options listed, including EasyBib, Endnote, Mendeley, Citation Machine, BibMe, and Knight Cite.

While these programs can help you quickly create a reference list, most of the time citations that are automatically produced are not 100% accurate. Be sure to double-check the format against the official style manual or Purdue OWL

Located on the library's 1st floor, The Writing Center is also available to assist with formatting and citation issues.
